Norwegian cruise line Hurtigruten has announced that it has planned a special New Year’s celebration for passengers on board its Trollfjjord and Midnatsol vessels – by having them both dock together in Tromsø to see in 2013.
The sister ships will sit side-by-side while guests are treated to a banquet, firework display, dancing and champagne toast. Passengers sailing on the vessels over Christmas will also be treated to a traditional Norwegian holiday – including winter shore excursions and special information events on the Northern Lights. There will also be opportunities to take part in winter safaris through the Arctic from Finnsnes to Tromsø on dog sledges, snowmobiles and reindeer sledges.
Guests will also be invited to join a local mass on Christmas Eve.
