Cathay to launch Hyderabad flights
Cathay Pacific Airways will expand its presence in India later this year with the launch of a new service to Hyderabad.
Commencing on 1 December 2012, flights will operate four times a week using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Services will depart Hong Kong on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, with the return flights leaving Hyderabad early the next morning.
“Cathay Pacific has been serving India since 1982 and it is an increasingly important market for our airline, both for passenger and cargo services. Hyderabad is a fast-growing technology hub and we are excited by the opportunities it offers. This latest addition to the Cathay Pacific passenger network will promote ties between India and Hong Kong and help to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a leading aviation hub,” said the airline’s CEO, John Slosar.
The new service will complement Cathay’s existing passenger services to Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
