Marriott International has opened the Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel – its sixth Renaissance-branded hotel in China’s financial capital.
Located in the Caohejing New Technology Development Zone, in the city’s Xuhui district, the hotel offers 383 rooms and suites along with a range of facilities including four restaurants, a selection of private dining rooms, a live music lounge, spa and 24-hour fitness centre. The meeting and event market is also catered for with 14 meeting rooms, wedding services and a 570m² pillarless ballroom.
“The opening of the Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing cements our position as the dominant player in Shanghai, representing our 19th hotel in this vibrant city. Marriott International acquired Renaissance Hotels in 1997, and has since transformed it into an upscale “lifestyle” brand. It now is has a portfolio of 29 hotels across seven Asian countries, and a global collection of 150 properties.
