G Adventures has announced all its trips will be guaranteed departures from 1 January 2013.
The tour operator is the first in the adventure market to make the move and it said it shows more confidence in its programme for 2013.
“We’ve invested a lot of time perfecting our yield management, balancing demand for trips and forecasting sales. We’re confident we’ve got it right and can make agents’ jobs that much easier,” said Bruce Poon Tip, founder of G Adventures.
“The adventure travel industry has traditionally played a numbers game, with a minimum number of bookings required for a trip to depart. We’re turning that on its head – all our trips will depart, meaning agents can lock in the booking and book earlier flight prices,” he added.
