Jet2 has added three new routes at Glasgow Airport as part of its expansion from the Scottish airport.
Weekly flights Menorca will launch from 25 May alongside twice weekly services to Murcia and weekly flights to Pula from 18 June.
The routes mark Jet2’s 19th destination from Glasgow, where it will boost capacity by 20% next year compared to summer 2012. To drive its new routes Jet2 will base a fourth aircraft at the airport, creating 50 jobs in the process.
“Glasgow is an important base for us, and as we enter our third year, we are delighted to announce more new destinations our customers want. Local holidaymakers have been requesting services to Menorca, Murcia and Pula and we are happy to be offering these amazing destinations for 2013,” said Steve Heapy, chief executive at Jet2holidays.
“We recently announced Bodrum and Gran Canaria, which are also new for next year, meaning passengers have even more fantastic holiday options direct from Glasgow,” he added.
