Saint Lucia Tourist Board (SLTB) has seen an increase in bookings from its travel agent experts after posting agent details on its website.

Bookings from specialists more than doubled during August compared to July with sales more than four times the average monthly booking rate at GBP720,000.

“We are delighted to see the specialist online directory working so successfully just months after its launch. The increase in bookings logged through the Saint Lucia Expert site shows that the directory is already putting customers in touch with specialist agents and that their knowledge and experience of the island is helping to convert enquiries into bookings,” said Jean-Marc Flambert, director of marketing UK and Europe at SLTB.

Travel agents appear on the site after completing its training programme, attending a fam and logging their bookings. They then must continue to register bookings and complete an annual refresher course to stay on the site, with weekly prizes offered.
