Le Méridien Al Aqah celebrated its 10th anniversary and prepared to tap into the European market at the forthcoming World Travel Market (WTM) 2012.
In light of its anniversary celebrations, Al Aqah officials have announced that significant contributions will be made to partner charities, including the Angel Appeal, the Fujairah Special Needs Foundation and the Dibba Orphanage.
All through December, it was also announced that several activities will be held in and around the hotel aimed at identifying even more closely with the local community.
The WTM agenda focuses on showcasing the comprehensive AED 10 million renovation plan that was recently completed at the resort. This initiative included a complete revamp of the hotel’s Views restaurant and the building of wave barriers to protect the hotel’s beachfront. An AED20 million room refurbishment plan is also currently under way. This will include repainting of all rooms and upgrades to the in-room furniture and entertainment systems.
