EVA receives first Airbus A321
EVA Air has received its first Airbus A321-200 aircraft following a ceremony at the planemaker’s factory in Hamburg.
The new single-aisle aircraft is the first of 12 A321s ordered by Taipei-based EVA, all of which are scheduled to be delivered by 2014. The first aircraft will enter service on the Taipei-Hong Kong and Taipei-Macau routes.
EVA will operate its A321s with 184 seats in two classes – eight in business class and 176 in economy. All business class seats will have personal in-flight entertainment screens, while the economy class cabin will be fitted with 20 overhead monitors.
The new A321 expands EVA’s fleet to 58 aircraft.
