The right communication between different verticals of the industry can result in a profitable business.
These sentiments were expressed by HE Mohamed Ali Al Noman, chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), who also underscored the importance of direct communication and cooperation with all tourism sector partners and hotel industry in particular. This was necessary for a strategic role they play in boosting tourism and providing essential services for tourists and visitors.
These remarks were made at a recent meeting between Al Noman and SCTDA director general HE Khalid Jasim Al Midfa along with more than 30 representatives of one- and two-star hotels and hotel apartments.
Al Noman said: “This is the first of a series of regular interactions that we plan to hold with the representatives of the hotel industry in order to exchange ideas and address mutual concerns. This is also part of the vision and is in accordance with instructions of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qassimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to boost the tourism sector in the emirate.”
