Etihad Airways has launched its operations to Ahmedabad.
The new service to the Gujarat hub will now operate every day to and from Abu Dhabi. Services will leave the UAE capital at 2245, getting into Ahmedabad at 0300 the following day. The return leg then leaves at 0510, arriving back into Abu Dhabi at 0705.
Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer, James Hogan said, “Our daily, two-class A320 service to Ahmedabad is another step in expanding our presence on the Indian Subcontinent and connecting key strategic cities with Abu Dhabi. We are confident that the addition of the Ahmedabad service will further strengthen commercial and cultural ties between India and the UAE and will lead to continued strong growth in traffic flows between India, Abu Dhabi and beyond.”
Ahmedabad becomes Etihad’s ninth Indian destination and takes its total frequency to the country to 59 weekly flights.
