Hawaiian boosts Manila
Hawaiian Airlines has added capacity to its Honolulu-Manila service to accommodate an expected rise in demand during the upcoming winter high season.
From now until 31 March 2013, the carrier will deploy its newest and largest aircraft, the Airbus A330-200, to the Philippine capital. The transition from the 264-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft to the 294-seat A330 will add more than 2,500 new seats to the route during the winter travel period. It also marks the first time Hawaiian has operated its A330 on the Manila-Honolulu route.
“Our larger A330s give us the flexibility to meet increased travel demand for Hawaii, and we think our Manila customers will enjoy the comforts of our new aircraft,” said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
Hawaiian flies to Manila four times a week, departing Honolulu on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and returning the following day.
