Celebrity Solstice, one of Celebrity Cruises fleet, docked for the first time in Dubai recently.
The ship accommodates 2,850 guests, has a total of 16 passenger decks and a gross tonnage of 122,000 tons. Its features include fine-dining restaurants, leisure facilities and spacious staterooms.
Helen Beck, regional director – international representatives – EMEA for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises said: “Celebrity Solstice is one of the five luxurious ships in the Solstice class that sets a new benchmark for exquisite cuisine. The main restaurant offers the best range of culinary dishes afloat, while The Silk Harvest restaurant serves authentic Asian food with a blend of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.”
Ninety percent of the vessel’s industry-first AquaClass suites face the sea and the suites are 15% larger than the previous Celebrity ships, while 85% of all staterooms have verandas. Stateroom guests can call on a personal spa concierge for on-demand wellness programs, including meditation and yoga.
Guests can walk on real grass at the half-acre Lawn Club, experience the art of glassblowing shows at The Corning Museum of Glass, and unwind at The AquaSpa by Elemis which boasts a hammam, infrared sauna, aromatic steam room, cold room, DIY scrub and salt bar, sensory showers and acupuncture.
Celebrity Solstice is stopping in Dubai for two days on her way from Europe to Australia, after a 16-night journey from Barcelona via Egypt and Jordan. Passengers joining the vessel in Dubai will take a 12-night cruise to Oman, India, Malaysia and Singapore. On 23 November, the ship sails from Singapore on a 16-night journey to Sydney.
