ADWIN CHONG has been appointed General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Danang. Chong brings more than 25 years’ experience to the role, several of which have been spent with IHG. He was previously Executive Assistant Manager at the Crowne Plaza Resort Xishuangbanna in China.
MARK O’SULLIVAN has been announced as the General Manager of the Vana Belle, Starwood’s first Luxury Collection hotel in Koh Samui. With a career spanning 17 years, O’Sullivan worked at luxury properties in the Maldives and Ireland prior to arriving in Thailand.
SWAPNIL SAWANT has become the new Indian Country Manager for GetThere – Sabre’s business travel solution. Sawant has previously held senior management positions with several leading tourism companies, including Thomas Cook and the Taj Group. He will be based in Mumbai.
HELEN LOGAS has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer of Luxperience Enterprises, organisers of the high-end travel trade show, Luxperience. Ms Logas had founded Travelcorp in 1994 and sold the company in 2010. She co-founded the inaugural Luxperience show in Sydney.
DOMINIQUE RONGE has become the new General Manager of the Centara Grand Resort & Spa Pattaya. A Belgian national, Ronge has 15 years’ experience including a spell at the Waldorf Astoria in Rome. Prior to joining Centara, he was Resort Manager at the InterContinental Hua Hin.
ARTHUR AI has been announced as the General Manager of Pullman Shanghai Skyway. The move confirms Ai’s position at the hotel, after he previously served as its Acting General Manager. An Australian resident, he has 20 years’ experience with Hilton, Golden Tulip, and Jin Jiang.
RADU CERNIA has become the new Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Beijing and JW Marriott Hotel Beijing. A Romanian national, Cernia’s career has included spells in Japan, Indonesia and the USA, most recently as Executive Assistant Manager of F&B at the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo.
NORSIDAH AHMAD has been named as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort Langkawi. A Malaysian national, Ms Ahmad has spent 10 years with Starwood, most recently as Complex Director of Sales for the Sheraton and Four Points Langkawi.
LEE NG has been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at Starwood’s new Luxury Collection resort in Koh Samui, Vana Belle. Ng joins the resort from Le Méridien Angkor in Cambodia, where he served for more than five years. He has also worked at hotels in Malaysia and Singapore.
LIM HUANG HOCK has been appointed as the new Chinese Chef at the Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers. A Malaysian national with 21 years’ culinary experience, Chef Lim will head up the hotel’s Lung Yuan restaurant. His career has included winning the Culinaire Malaysia award in 1997.
