Celebrity announces 2014 itineraries

Royal Caribbean operator Celebrity Cruises has announced its 2014 cruise programme, which includes a raft of new ports and itineraries. The new voyages will go on sale from 21 March 2013.
The US line, which is increasing its international passenger rates year-on-year, is basing two of its ships – the Eclipse and Infinity – in Southampton and Harwich for the second year in a row.
“It is always an exciting time when we announce our new sailings and the new destinations and experiences that our guests can enjoy,” said Jo Rzymowska, associate vice president and general manager, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises – UK and Ireland. “The 2014 summer season sees the UK playing host to two of the six Celebrity Cruises ships based in Europe plus new additions to the sailings, including more overnight stays, allowing guests to experience the local nightlife and explore the regions more fully. Our 2014 UK departures set the bar high when it comes to offering a modern luxury holiday without the hassle of flying and we are pleased to continue to offer our guests new and exciting destinations.”
The Celebrity Eclipse will operate out of Southampton and have a programme of cruises which includes 14-night Scandinavia and Russia sailing, 14-night Canaries and Azores, 14-night Mediterranean and eight-night Norwegian Fjords.
The Infinity will repeat its 12-night wine cruise for the third year and introduce a 14-night Iceland and Fjords sailing. The ship will also take both an 11-night and 14-night British Isles cruise visiting Waterford and an overnight stay in Dublin for the longer sailing.
