Premier Holidays has reported a 38% increase in long-haul bookings.
Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong are its top five destinations as the tour operator believe its customers become more adventurous and are looking for opportunities to take in the culture.
Sales for trips that take in three or more centres are up 40% year-on-year.
“An increasing number of clients have become more flexible with their chosen holiday dates and destinations, as they seek to take advantage of the value in travelling outside peak season,” explained Debbie Goffin, head of sales and marketing at Premier.
“Savvy travellers are planning ahead to benefit from the complimentary nights and lower airfares offered during the shoulder seasons. We attribute some of Premier Holidays’ year-on-year growth to our ability to cater for these flexible travellers with large increases,” she added.
