Qatar Airways has increased the frequency of its flights to Chicago.
The carrier launched the route in April this year, with three weekly flights direct from its Doha hub. But effective 15 June 2013, it has added a further four weekly services, taking the total frequency to daily.
All flights are operated using a two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 42 seats in business class and 293 seats in economy.
“Qatar Airways launch in Chicago was one of our most successful in history. Chicago O’Hare is one of the world centres for aviation. Our introduction has been a great success and our increased service reflects the importance we pay to one of the top destinations for business and leisure travel,” said Qatar Airways’ CEO, Akbar Al Baker.
The airline had originally planned to launch Chicago with daily flights, but the grounding of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in January 2013 forced the revision to three weekly services.
The new daily service will depart Doha at 0800 and arrive in Chicago at 1430. The return service leaves the city’s O’Hare airport at 2055 and gets back into Doha at 1825 the following day.
