Malaysia Airlines has marked the first year of its Airbus A380 services from London today (2 July).
The carrier said it has seen higher load factors and positive UK growth in the first half of the year, helped along by the new aircraft.
“As Malaysia Airlines’ flagship route it was vital that the UK was the first to be served by our latest product. The enhanced comfort, technology and services of the Airbus A380 have been extremely well received by our passengers across all cabins, resulting in a successful first year of operation, which we look forward to improving on throughout 2013 and beyond,” added Yuzrizal Mohd Yousuf, area manager UK & Ireland at MAS.
MAS started to serve the London-Kuala Lumpur route in 1974 and now flies twice daily on the service.
