Kim All-Sampson and Kelley Coville have been named international tour and travel trade manager and group sales manager at Hornblower Niagara Cruises. Both have extensive backgrounds in the travel trade sales area for previous attractions and hotels in the region.

Even Frydenberg has been appointed senior vice president, western Europe and global initiatives at Starwood. Frydenberg was previously SVP operation and global initiatives in its EMEA division and succeeds Michael Wade in his new role. Wade has become president of Starwood’s EMEA division.

James Samuel has been named as the new president of the UK and Ireland Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Samuel, who is event director of International Confex and Live Experience Expo and Leisure Industry week at UBM Live, has been joined by a new executive director Hamish Reid from the Jersey Conference Bureau.

Jonathon Hutton has joined Hillgate Travel as head of specialist services. Hutton has more than 20 years’ experience in the MICE travel sector with previous employers including Globalsport, Expotel and lastminute.com.

David Horne has been appointed chairman of Experience Nottinghamshire. Horne, who is managing director of East Midland Trains, has taken up the role from Brad Miller who has moved from the area to take up a job at Manchester Airport Group.

Derek McNeill has become general manager at the Legacy Rose and Crown Hotel. McNeill joins the hotel from Legacy White Hart Hotel in Lewes and has also worked at Botleigh Grange Hotel, Merton Hotel, Jersey and Holiday Inn Express, Folkestone.

Andrew Sherwin has been named as operations director at Aquarium Software. Sherwin has taken on the newly-created role having previously been a director at Landscape Legal and 20 years as sales and marketing director at Quill Pinpoint.

Christian Göke has taken over as chief executive at Messe Berlin. Dr Göke has assumed the role after CEO Raimund Hosch announced his retirement.
