CHERRY WANG has been named as Princess Cruises’ new Country Manager for China. No stranger to the Princess Cruises product, Ms Wang has served as General Manager of Princess and Cunard’s international sales agent in China since 2005. She will now be based in Shanghai.
ALISTAIR BALLANTINE has become a new Strategic Advisor to Remote Lands – the Asian luxury tour operator. A travel industry veteran, Ballantine has spent 38 years in the luxury travel sector including a spell with Orient-Express and 25 years as President of Abercombie & Kent.
HUGO MONTANARI has been appointed as the new Director of Operations at the Ritz-Carlton Bangalore. A French-Italian, Montanari arrives in India from New York where he worked at The Plaza Hotel. He has also had a spell with the Fairmont Dubai.
VIRGINIA WU has been named as Director of Client Services for ACI, the travel recruitment company. Based in Hong Kong, Ms Wu brings more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience to the role, including spells with Shangri-La and The Peninsula.
THOMAS ANGERER has been named as the new Executive Chef at the Park Hyatt Tokyo. An Austrian national, Chef Thomas joined Hyatt in 2000 and has since worked at hotels in Istanbul and Chennai. He has also worked at restaurants in the UK, Bermuda and Australia.
PAUL THEN has become the new Executive Chef at the Orchard Hotel Singapore. In the new role, Chef Paul will head up the hotel’s entire culinary department, with a special focus on producing Straits Chinese delicacies, which stem from his Peranakan heritage.
