Colin Lewis has joined bmi Regional

Julia Lo Bue-Said has been promoted to managing director of Advantage Travel Centres. In the changes Noel Mansell has also been promoted to finance director and has joined the Advantage board. The changes come after the retirement of John McEwan, with the consortia now looking to recruit a non-executive chairman from outside the organisation.

Colin Lewis has been appointed director of marketing at bmi Regional. Lewis joins the airline from his role of European marketing director at 118118 Directory Enquiries and has also held marketing roles at CityJet and Aer Arann. He also spent eight years at Thomas Cook.

Philip Taylor has been named as head of marketing at VisitBritain. Taylor was previously head of digital at the tourism agency for 20 months and has consolidated the roles as Joss Croft is promoted to marketing director.

Nicola Green has been appointed marketing manager at Chameleon Worldwide. Green joins the tour operators from Simpson Travel where she was marketing manager. Her career also includes eight years at Explore and two years as a director at Island Adventures.

Gavin Sanderson has been promoted to head of account management at Gray Dawes. Sanderson has been working at the travel management company for 19 years. He will be based in its Colchester head office focused on retaining customers and business development.

Matt Williams has become the general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Ealing. Williams was previously general manager at the Copthorne Hotel Birmingham and has also worked with Ramada and Corus Hotels.

Dr Cem Kinay has joined the board at Rixos Hotels as the brand continues to grow. Kinay will lead the group’s expansion, marketing and strategy. He founded Austria-based Gulet Touristik and Magic Life Hotels and ‘introduced’ all –inclusive hospitality to Europe and Turkey in the 1990s.
