Gujarat will spread its ‘Khushboo Gujarat Ki’ campaign in Maharashtra.

The Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) plans to further tap the Maharashtra, as the states contributed 35% (18.80 lakh) tourists in 2012-13.

Addressing the media in Mumbai, Saurabh Patel, Tourism Minister of Gujarat said, “We will continue to aggressively market Gujarat as a tourist destination in India as well as abroad.” Gujarat also organised a road show with the tour operators and hoteliers from Gir, Dwarka, Kutch, Junagadh, Saputara. The tourism board also showcased its forthcoming events like Monsoon Festival (3 August), Tarnetar Fair (9 to 11 September), Navratri festival (5-13 October), The Rann Utsav (15-15 February 2014) and The International Kite Festival (14 January 2014).
