KURT KNACKSTEDT has been named as the new President-elect of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE). Knackstedt, who will begin his term on 1 January 2014, is currently based in Singapore as Rio Tinto Procurement’s Global Category Leader for Travel & Expense Management.
DANE KONDIC has been named Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, following Etihad Airways’ deal to take a 49% stake in the national carrier. Kondic has more than 20 years’ experience and has dual Australian and Serbian citizenship. He will now oversee the airline’s rebranding from JatAirways.
WILLIAM JOHAN HAANDRIKMAN has been appointed General Manager of the Sofitel Shanghai Jing’An Huamin, which is scheduled to open by the end of the year. A Dutch national, Haandrikman has worked with Accor in several countries, most recently as GM of the Sofitel Vienna Stephensdom.
TONY PEDRONI has become the new General Manager of the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. An Irish national with 23 years’ experience, Pedroni joins Outrigger from Marriott International, where he most recently served as General Manager of the JW Marriott Resort Phuket.
ANDREAS KOHN has been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing for the Mandarin Oriental Singapore. He joins the hotel with 18 years of experience, including five years at The Ritz Carlton Millennia Singapore. He returns to Singapore following a spell as DOSM for the Viceroy Hotel Group.
FRANK SORGIOVANNI has been announced as the Vice President of Research for Asia at Jones Lang LaSalle’s Hotels & Hospitality Group. Based in Singapore, Sorgiovanni will now lead JLL’s regional research programmes in Asia. He has 14 years of consulting experience in Australia and Singapore.
CHRISTOPH TRAVNICZEK recently joined the InterContinental Hong Kong as its new Executive Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage. Originally from Austria, Travniczek brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, including spells with Le Meridien, Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt.
ANGELA CHU has been named Director of Revenue Management for the InterContinental Hong Kong. An experienced revenue manager, she moves to IHG from Starwood, where she worked as Director of Revenue Management at the W Hong Kong. Prior to that, she worked with Marriott.
CAMERON McLEOD has been announced as FCm Travel Solutions’ new Regional Sales Leader for the USA, following the reorganisation of the company’s global sales team. He has worked for FCm’s parent company FCL for more than 11 years and has twice ranked as number one sales person.
TATE WILLIAMS CRAWFORD has been appointed as FCm Travel Solutions’ new Regional Sales Leader for Europe. The company former sales leader for New Zealand, Crawford has also worked for FCm’s parent company FCL for more than a decade, and as a broad range of business travel experience.
SUE McEVOY has been named as FCm Travel Solutions’ new Regional Sales Leader for Asia Pacific. One of the company’s top five business development managers globally, McEvoy has worked with FCm for more than 10 years, winning a number of blue-chip company accounts in Australia.
MANUEL COUTURIER has become FCm Travel Solutions’ new Regional Sales Leader for Latin America. Based in Mexico, Couturier comes from a corporate background of technology, sales and account management. FCm noted he has strong ties with FCm’s offices in Latin America.
