Atherton to open restaurant at London Edition

Restaurateur Jason Atherton is to open his latest restaurant, Berners Tavern, at the soon to be opened London Edition.
The hotel, which represents a partnership between Marriott International and Ian Schrager will be located on Berner’s Street in Fitzrovia.
“I’m really excited to be working with Ian Schrager and Marriott. The menu will be simple yet elegant, using the best of British ingredients and change of seasons,” said Jason Atherton.
Sample dishes already released include Orkney scallop Carpaccio served with avocado, radish, jalapeño and lime; chargrilled quail served with Alsace bacon, smoked tomato jam, shallot and parsley; and grass fed Baccleuch estate cuts of beef cooked on a charcoal grill
The kitchen will be ran by Phil Carmichael, who has worked for Atherton for 10 years, and will serve a ‘contemporary British menu’.
The 140 cover restaurant will open with the hotel on 12 September.
