Indonesian low-cost carrier, Citilink, is adding more domestic flights from Jakarta.

The airline, which is a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia, has announced plans to launch extra daily services to Semarang and Yogyakarta in Central Java, and Padang, West Sumatra.

Citilink will add one extra daily flight on the Jakarta-Semarang route, departing the Indonesia capital at 0600, and two extra daily services to Yogyakarta, departing Jakarta at 0645 and 0900. The new daily flight to Padang will leave Jakarta at 0600. All flights will be operates using Citilink’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.

“We believe that by adding more flights, Citilink supports the development of local tourism as well as business sector,” said the airline’s CEO, Arif Wibowo. “The additional flights provide the right alternatives for tourists and students in those three cities considering that they are the centre of education and tourism in Indonesia.”

Citilink now operates 102 daily flights to 21 Indonesian destinations, but will increase this in the coming years as the airline takes delivery of 10 more A320s.
