Qantas has unveiled the new cabin designs for its Airbus A330s that will be used on international routes.
The new Airbus interiors will debut in late 2014 with a new Business Suite, which will include fully-flat beds and direct aisle access from every seat in a 1-2-1 formation.
Its economy seats will also be updated, with all customers able to use its Panasonic in-flight entertainment and Qantas Q-Streaming to access the library via iPads.
“Qantas invented business class and these new Business Suites reflect what we know our customers want, whether they are flying for work or leisure. We’ve created a product that has enough space to dine while working, or if you want to rest, to leave the seat in a recline position from take-off to landing,” said Alan Joyce, CEO of Qantas Group.
The airline also revealed the cabin design for the five new Boeing 717 that will join subsidiary QantasLink from January 2014.
Qantas has several aircraft orders in place including 50 Dreamliner options for Qantas International; nine B737-300s for Qantas Domestic and three B787s for Jetstar, as well as the five B717s and three Bombardier Q400 for QantasLink.
