Emirates has launched a new Airbus A380 service to Brisbane.
The Dubai-based carrier this week deployed the double-decker jet to the Queensland city for the first time, with flights operating daily.
The new A380 flight will leave Dubai at 1025, arriving in Brisbane at 0605 the following day. The flight will then continue on to Auckland, where it will land at 1415. The return leg will depart the New Zealand hub at 1830, arriving in Brisbane at 1915 and finally getting back to Dubai at 0520 the next day.
Emirates becomes the only airline to fly an A380 to Brisbane, which becomes the third Australian destination for Emirates’ double-decker fleet, following Sydney and Melbourne. It also marks Emirates’ 22nd global A380 destination.
The launch of A380 flights to Brisbane on Tuesday 1 October 2013 coincided with the launch of Emirates’ new daily service to Clark in the Philippines.
