A powercut in Gatwick’s South Terminal has caused disruption on flights and airport services today (16 October).
The outage started around three hours ago in the early afternoon, caused by heavy rain.
Delays are expected on flights to and from the terminal as the airport battles with luggage handling, check-in and security services with limited power.
Passengers are being checked in manually as the airport works to get power again.
The airport has mainly updated passengers through Twitter, asking them to check-in as usual and that staff have been on hand throughout the day to help passengers in the terminals.
All passengers should continue to check-in as normal at the terminal they are due to depart from.

easyJet has closed its check-in desks at the south terminal, with all its flights now taking off and landing from the north terminal instead.
