Cathay Pacific has opened The Bridge – its sixth passenger lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

Following nine months of construction, the new 2,567m² has launched on Level 5 of the West Concourse at HKIA, near Gate 35. It will serve Cathay’s first and business class passengers and frequent flyers.

“We have come a long way since we opened our first lounge, The Wing, in 1998. We introduced The Pier in 2001, The Arrival in 2008, and The Cabin in 2010. Together with Dragonair’s G16 lounge, and with the opening of The Bridge… the Cathay Pacific Group now operates a total of six lounges at the Hong Kong International Airport, spanning an impressive 13,000m²,” said Cathay’s chief operating officer, Ivan Chu.

“The opening of The Bridge raises the bar for premium ground products and services even further. Our significant investments in offering the very best to our passengers on the ground and in the air will continue in enhancing their overall experience when flying with Cathay,” he added.

The Bridge features two wings, extending from a central reception area. It offers a range of F&B outlets, including a bakery, bar and coffee shop, plus nine shower units. It will be open from 0530 until the last departure.
