The famous Peace Hotel in Shanghai, which is now managed by Fairmont, has unveiled a new rooftop terrace area, including two private dining rooms.
Overlooking the city’s Bund area and Huangpu River, the new roof terrace is a venue in its own right, but also now contains two new private dining rooms that are likely to become among the most sought-after entertainment venues in the city.
The 35m² England Room and 25m² Scotland Room feature high ceilings and are classically decorated with dark wood panelling and leather chairs, reminiscent of an English gentleman’s club.
Adjacent to the roof terrace is the Nine Heaven Hall, one of the hotel’s popular original venues in the 1920s, which has now been restored. It offers panoramic views of the river.
Finally, the hotel has added another meeting room on its mezzanine level – the Thames Room. This 110m² space overlooks Dian Chi Road and Huangpu River, and can accommodate up to 50 people.
