Qatar Airways announces Edinburgh service

Qatar Airways has announced it will launch flights between Edinburgh and Doha from May 2014.
Flights on the new route will start on 28 May 2014 and operate five times a week using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Services will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday departing Edinburgh at 14.45 to arrive in Doha at 23.40. The return journey will depart Doha at 08.00 to arrive in Edinburgh at 13.15.
For Scottish travellers the new route will also mean increased connections into the Middle East, India and the Asia Pacific.
Richard Oliver, country manager UK and Ireland said: “We are pleased to be able to bring our five star service to Edinburgh and look forward to providing new options for Scottish Travellers flying to the Middle East and beyond. Passengers will benefit from the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner with Qatar Airways award-winning service.”
