Qatar Airways celebrates Moscow route

Qatar Airways recently celebrated a decade of service to Moscow. The airline currently operates 12 weekly flights to Russia’s Domodedovo Airport. The Moscow – Doha route is operated with an Airbus 321 aircraft offering 12 seats in business class and up to 170 in economy.
Based on demand, Qatar Airways’ flights to Moscow grew from seven to 10 flights per week in February 2010 and again from 10 to 12 weekly flights from September 2013.
Qatar Airways will also be the mainline airline operator of the new Hamad International Airport (HIA) which will accommodate 24 million passengers annually when it opens early next year, increasing to 50 mn beyond 2015.
Over the next few months, the network will grow further with Hangzhou (20 December), Sharjah (1 March 2014), Dubai World Central (1 March 2014), Philadelphia (2 April 2014), Edinburgh (28 May 2014) and Miami (10 June 2014).
