Viking Cruises has ordered another two ocean ships, bringing the total to four.

The two ships will be sisters to the pair Viking ordered last year, with the third and fourth ships to join the fleet in mid-2016 and early 2017 respectively.

Both ships will be constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard, with Seatrade Insider reporting the two are working to develop additional joint projects.

Viking’s ocean operations will commence in May 2015 when Viking Star joins its fleet.

The cruise line’s Neil Barclay recently told Cruise News that the initial 2015 calendar is already nearly sold out
