The Onyx Hospitality Group has opened Thailand’s first ever football-themed hotel – Amari Buriram United.
Located in the northeastern Thai city of Buriram, adjacent to Thunder Castle – home of reigning Thai Premier League champions, Buriram United – this unique upscale hotel has been modelled on a sports stadium.
Designed by the same architects as the neighbouring Thunder Castle stadium, the new Amari hotel features 60 rooms set around a large central area housing a mini football field and swimming pool.
Rooms range from 36 to 118m² and are decorated in Buriram United’s team colours of blue and white, while the bathrooms are designed to replicate players’ changing rooms.
F&B facilities include two hotel bars and a themed restaurant called ‘Kick Off’, while the sports-based property also offers tennis courts, a jogging track, basketball court and gymnasium.
The hotel will also employ an ‘Amari Host’ to offer a range of concierge-style services, including arranging matchday tickets.
Last year, Buriram United became the first Thai team in a decade to reach the knockout phase of the Asian Champions League, eventually reaching the quarter finals.
