Windstar Cruises has unveiled images of the revamped Star Pride ahead of its delivery in April.
The ship is currently being transformed into Windstar’s private yacht style and will join the fleet on 17 April, before embarking on its first cruise on 8 May.
Additions to the ship include a new décor and furnishings, as well as a new coffee bar and lounge called the Yacht Club and Compass Rose added.
The reception has been updated, with the Star Bar, AmphorA and Veranda food and dining concepts to be added.
All 106 suites onboard the ship have been renovated included the new Owner’s Suites that are each themed on a destination.
Star Pride will offer four European voyages covering the Black Sea, Aegean, a trip from Athens to Venice and a sailing themed around the Grand Prix.
An 18-day ‘Wonders of Arabia’ cruise is also in the line-up as well as the 15-day ‘Pearls of the Indian Ocean’ voyage from Dubai to Singapore.
Star Pride will then sail three cruises in southeast Asia including a 14-day trip from Singapore to Hong Kong; ‘Vietnam Unveiled’ from o Chi Minh City to Hong Kong and a 10-day voyage covering Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
Star Pride is one of three new ships joining the Windstar fleet, with two others planned in April and May 2015.
“The transformation of these small all-suite yachts will redefine the idea of casual elegance in luxury cruising,” said Hans Birkholz, chief executive officer of Windstar Cruises. “We are eagerly anticipating the May 5th inaugural voyage when Star Pride’s luxurious, modern, and stylish upgrades will be unveiled.”
