Princess Cruises made two UK announcements last night; that Royal Princess will return to the UK and commission opportunities for travel agents will increase in 2015.
Royal Princess, which was christened by HRH the Duchess of Cambridge last year, will return to the UK for a series of British Isles round-trip cruises from Southampton starting from spring 2015.
The cruise line’s 2015 itineraries will go on sale on 11 March with a GBP99 deposit and complimentary drinks package available on all 2015 cruises booked until 30 June 2014.
Additionally, Princess Cruises announced it will now pay travel agents 10% commission on flights booked on 2015 cruises.
Its 2015 programme also includes complimentary ‘all inclusive’ packages available on Caribbean Princess sailings from the UK.
“The 2015 programme gives agents real choice and flexibility to offer their customers. We have more air cities to join our ships on a fly cruise, a range of cruise durations and six ships will be cruising in Europe making 150 departures and visiting over 120 destinations,” said Paul Ludlow, managing director UK and Europe at Princess. “European cruises are booming in popularity and as such we’ve provided something for everyone, including destinations and packages to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets.”
