The Burj Al Arab announced a year-long commitment to the #MyDubai initiative. The hotel will support #MyDubai by projecting the winning images on its globally recognised sail on the last Thursday of every month.
The initiative has been started by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, crown prince of Dubai. The #MyDubai was launched in early January 2014 and has had an overwhelming response that has led to the creation of an online museum showcasing the lives of the Emirate’s residents and visitors. On @MyDubai, the submissions have already reached over a quarter of a million posts, whereas the number of Twitter mentions reached nearly 50,000.
