Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is now offering guests the chance to access the internet while being transferred to and from the hotel.
The Swiss hotel company has launched a new complimentary Wi-Fi system across its entire fleet of cars in Asia, enabling guests to use their laptops, tablets and smartphones during the airport transfer.
Mövenpick’s hotel limousines have been fitted with 4G Lite Wi-Fi car mobile devices. Guests without their own device will be offered use of the in-car iPad.
“Initial feedback from our guests is extremely positive and many are very impressed by the seamless connectivity they can experience in this way from the airport to their room,” said Roger Macfarlaine, Mövenpick’s vice president of technology for the Middle East & Asia.
“I have no doubt this will eventually be adopted by others in the hospitality industry, given the fast pace of change in technology.”
The free in-car Wi-Fi service has already been implemented at 21 Mövenpick properties in the Middle East and Asia, with more to follow in the coming months.
