THORSTEN KIRSCHKE has become Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s new president for the Asia Pacific region. Kirschke joined the company in 2009 and for the last four years has led Carlson Rezidor in the Americas. He now moves to Asia Pacific following the resignation of Simon Barlow.
JAMES MUELLER has been announced as Etihad Airways’ new vice president of sales. With more than 20 years’ experience in the aviation industry, Mueller joins Etihad from United Airlines, where he worked for five years in various senior roles, including vice president for Asia Pacific.
ORIOL MONTAL has been appointed general manager of the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa. A Spanish national, Montal brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role. He served as GM of resorts in Portugal and Tenerife before relocating to Asia in 2011 as GM of the Ritz-Carlton Osaka.
GINO TAN has been appointed general manager of the Parkroyal on Pickering hotel in Singapore. Tan, who becomes Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s first ever Singaporean GM, has 20 years’ experience with companies including managed Millennium & Copthorne and Raffles Hotels.
LEONNA WONG has been announced as Archipelago International’s new marketing manager for Greater China. With a 14-year career that has included spells with Hilton, Berjaya and Marriott, Ms Wong will now be responsible for driving Chinese guests to the company’s 75 hotels.
AUDRA ROHINI ARUL has become the new director of sales & marketing for the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon. A Malaysian national, Ms Arul has previously worked for Marriott, Hyatt and Starwood, and most recently served as director of sales & marketing at the Westin Siray Bay Resort, Phuket.
