Azamara Journey makes maiden call in Manila

The Azamara Journey cruise ship called at the port of Manila for the first time today (19 March 2014).
The vessel, which is operated by Azamara Club Cruises, is on a 17-night voyage from Hong Kong, which features an overnight stay in Manila. After leaving the Philippine capital on Thursday, the ship will sail to Sandakan, Papolo (Sulawesi), Komodo, Bali and Semarang, before ending its journey in Singapore.
On arrival in Manila, the Azamara Journey was welcomed by an official delegation including representatives of Philippine Department of Tourism and Philippine Ports Authority.
The 11-deck, 694-guest ship Azamara Journey is currently undertaking a series of 12- to 17-night voyages in East Asia. Next month it will sail to Europe, via the Indian Ocean and the Suez Canal, for its summer season.
