ANTHONY KAUFMAN has been appointed by Carnival to the new position of senior vice president of Asia for the Princess Cruises brand. A US national, Kaufman is no stranger to Princess, having previously served as the company’s senior vice president of commercial affairs.
JERRY JOHN has been announced as the new general manager of the Banyan Tree Macau. An Australian national with 20 years’ experience, John moves to Macau from Thailand, where he held the position of general manager at the Angsana Laguna Phuket since 2011.
JAMIE MEAD has been appointed general manager of the Hilton Kuala Lumpur. An Australian national, Mead has 16 years’ experience, 10 of which have been with Hilton in the Asia Pacific region. He previously served as general manager for Hilton Tokyo and Hilton Nagoya.
JEAN-LOUIS RIPOCHE has been announced as the new complex general manager for the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. A French national, Ripoche has 30 years’ experience with Starwood, having started as a management trainee in 1982. He was formerly GM of the Sheraton Tel Aviv.
SHERRILYN CHARLES has been named as the new director of sales & marketing at the Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa. Hailing from the Caribbean, Ms Charles has 17 years of hospitality experience and most recently worked at the Four Points by Sheraton in Sydney.
