The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the signing of Radisson Blu in Udaipur.
The hotel group has entered into a partnership with Rockwood Hotels & Resorts Ltd for the Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa, formerly known as the Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa. The property in Udaipur will be the first Radisson Blu Hotel in Udaipur and is expected to open in May 2014.
Located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, the hotel will offer 240-rooms, along with an outdoor swimming pool, a lawn tennis court, a spa, a fitness centre and meeting space. Dining options include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby bar and a lounge and a poolside bar.
“We are aggressively growing our presence and reinforcing our leadership position as the largest international hotel group in India. Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa is an outstanding property and will be a great addition to our fast expanding portfolio in India, where we now have 66 hotels in operation and 41 in development,” said Simon C Barlow, president for Asia Pacific at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
The hotel group is eyeing 200 properties by 2020.
