Marriott International has continued its rapid expansion in China with the launch of a new Courtyard hotel in Hangzhou.
Located in the centre of Hangzhou, the capital of eastern China’s Zhejiang province, the 364-room Courtyard by Marriott Hangzhou Qianjiang is within walking distance of the Qian Tang River.
“Marriott International’s portfolio in China continues to expand and we’re thrilled to open our second Courtyard branded hotel in the heart of Hangzhou,” said Henry Lee, Marriott’s chief operations officer for Greater China. “The Courtyard by Marriott brand is known for offering business and leisure guests a refreshing stay with friendly service and attention to detail.”
Facilities at the new hotel include a large lobby with electrical outlets and Wi-Fi access, plus two restaurants, a spa, business centre, gym and executive lounge. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and for the MICE market the hotel offers a 394m² ballroom that can handle 370 people.
The hotel becomes the 67th Marriott in China, and the country’s 11th Courtyard hotel.
