HK’s Swire Hotels to make US debut

Hong Kong-based Swire Hotels has unveiled its first ever hotel in the US.
Set to open in autumn 2015, EAST Miami at Brickell City Centre will be located in Swire Properties’ US$1.05 billion mixed-use development in downtown Miami. A contemporary luxury hotel, it will become the group’s third hotel under the EAST brand, following existing properties in Hong Kong and Beijing.
“We are very excited to be expanding our portfolio to the United States with EAST Miami,” said Brian Williams, managing director of Swire Hotels. “Our hotel aims to create different and surprising experiences that complement the lives of our guests and enhance their lifestyle. EAST is designed to meet the needs of travellers in Miami whilst complementing Brickell City Centre’s offerings.”
EAST Miami will offer 263 rooms and 89 serviced apartments, to be known as EAST Residences, while hotel facilities will include two restaurants, a swimming pool with poolside bar, rooftop bar, 24-hour fitness centre and spa treatment rooms, plus meeting rooms, banqueting halls and an outdoor pool deck which can be used for private events. Wi-Fi will be free throughout the hotel.
Swire Hotels continues to expand and recently announced the opening of The Temple House in Chengdu – the group’s fifth hotel in Asia.
