China Eastern Airlines has launched flights to Toronto.
The new service took off from Shanghai on 25 June 2014 and will now operate three times a week.
Flights depart Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1240, arriving at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport at 1425. The return service will leave the Canadian city at 1625, getting back into Shanghai at 1840 the next day.
All flights will be operated using China Eastern’s 322-seat Airbus A340-600 aircraft, which is configured with eight seats in first class, 42 in business class and 272 in economy. But the route will be upgraded to a daily service next year when China Eastern takes delivery of its new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Toronto becomes China Eastern’s second destination in Canada, following Vancouver.
