Starwood Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the latest stage of its expansion in India, with the opening of the Four Points by Sheraton Bengaluru Whitefield.
Having been converted, renovated and rebranded, the new hotel becomes the second Starwood opening in Bengaluru area in the last two months, following the launch of the Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park in late June. It also becomes the eighth Four Points hotel in India, and the second to open this year after the Four Points by Sheraton Dehradun in April.
“We are delighted with the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Bengaluru Whitefield and the traction the brand is seeing in India,” said Dilip Puri, Starwood’s managing director for India.
“As the urban Indian landscape undergoes a change and cities evolve, we will continue to see more and more opportunities for our upscale brands like Four Points by Sheraton which are perfectly positioned to operate in micro markets within larger cities as well as in tier two and tier three markets,” he added.
Located on the main technology area of Bengaluru, the new Four Points by Sheraton Bengaluru Whitefield offers 102 rooms and suites, a fitness centre, rooftop pool, restaurant and bar. For the corporate and events market, the hotel also features two meeting rooms, a business centre and 483m² of open rooftop space.
All guests will be offered free breakfast, fresh coffee, bottled water and Wi-Fi.
The Four Points by Sheraton Bengaluru Whitefield joins the brand’s existing Indian properties in Navi Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, New Delhi and Dehradun. It also has hotels either under development or signed in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Tirupati, Vadodara, Dahej and Agra.
