Fred.\ has announced a new expedition cruise brand to house seven well-known brands.
Fred.\ Expeditions will act as a ‘one stop shop’ for travel agents looking for polar expedition cruises, working with G Adventures, Hurtigruten, Lindblad Expeditions, Oceanwide Expeditions, Poseidon Expeditions, Quark Expeditions and Silversea Expeditions.
Commission will be available through Fred.\ for cruises and selected onshore excursions including camping, fishing, helicopter tours and hiking.
The company is now looking to produce agent packs to help sell the expedition cruises.
“We identified a gap in the market for putting all of these niche cruises ‘under one roof’ so that agents can pick up the phone to one of our specialist consultants to make bookings for what can be detailed and complex itineraries,” said Geoff Ridgeon, head of cruise at Fred.\.
“We want agents to trust Fred.\ Expeditions as the ‘go-to’ team to help them, safe in the knowledge that we can package up these holidays for agents, making them more bespoke and taking the risk away from the agents themselves as we are fully bonded. In addition, we feel that this new product adds to and complements our existing portfolio of products,” he added.
The new product sits alongside its river cruise and European city break products as well as the Jardin Tecina hotel on La Gomera.
