PHILIPPE CARETTI has assumed the role of vice president of operations for Marco Polo Hotels. He arrives at the Hong Kong-based hotel group with 22 years of experience, the last six of which have been spent with Kempinski as senior vice president of operations for China.
ADELE LABINE-ROMAINE has been appointed as Tourism Australia’s new executive general manager of strategy & research. A Canadian national, Ms Labine-Romain has extensive experience and moves to the tourism board from Australia’s Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF), where she is executive director.
SANDY RUSSELL has become Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s new vice president of commercial operations for Asia Pacific. No stranger to the company, Ms Russell previously spent 14 years with Carlson Rezidor in a variety of roles, including as a regional director of sales & marketing.
ERIK ANDEROUARD has become Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s new senior vice president of operations. A dual French-American citizen, Anderouard previously spent 29 years working with Accor, including a spell as Sofitel’s senior vice president of operations for the Americas region.
MARTIN KANDRAC has been announced as FRHI Hotels & Resorts’ new executive vice president of real estate & development. Kandrac brings to his new role more than 17 years of hospitality real estate experience in the US, Asia and Europe, including spells with Goldman Sachs and Starwood.
PETER GAN has become the new general manager of operations & hotel openings for Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts – the Chinese subsidiary of Thailand’s Dusit International. Gan has 30 years’ experience, including spells as a general manager at international hotels in China, Mauritius and Malaysia.
TIMUR SENTURK has been announced as Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s new vice president of operations for the ASEAN region. With a career spanning more than 25 years, Senturk has held senior operations roles in Asia, USA and Europe with companies including Ritz-Carlton, Oberoi and Hyatt.
MARTIN WUETHRICH has been named as the new general manager of Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa, which is due to open next month. Having worked in Switzerland, Thailand and Vietnam, Wuethrich most recently held the role of general manager for the Sheraton Bangalore.
DIDI CHAN has been appointed director of revenue at the Langham Hong Kong. Having worked in revenue management for nearly 10 years, Ms Chan has held senior positions at the Langham’s sister hotel in Hong Kong, Langham Place Mongkok, including director of revenue & director of e-business.
JALY LAI has been named as the Langham Hong Kong’s new director of sales. Ms Lai brings more than 15 years of hotel experience to her new role. Most recently she held a number of senior positions at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers and Mira Moon Hotel, including director of sales & marketing.
SUKI YU has been appointed director of sales & marketing at the InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin Hotel. With nearly 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ms Yu has worked for international hotel groups including Marriott, Starwood, Carlson Rezidor and Hilton.
TONG ZHU has been named as the head sommelier at the new St Regis Chengdu. Having graduated from the prestigious Le Cordon Blue institute in France, he has managed a wine cellar at a French restaurant in Chengdu and worked under the chef sommelier at Drouant, a Michelin-starred restaurant.
