CHANDRASHEKHAR JOSHI has been appointed general manager of the new JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, which is scheduled to open next month. Joshi, or CJ as he is known, has worked with Marriott since 2004, including a successful spell at Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport.
SANDY RUSSELL has become Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s new vice president of commercial operations for Asia Pacific. No stranger to the company, Ms Russell previously spent 14 years with Carlson Rezidor in a variety of roles, including as a regional director of sales & marketing.
JAI KISHAN has been appointed general manager of the Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences. A seasoned hotelier with more than 17 years of experience, Kishan’s career has taken him to Switzerland, Taiwan, Singapore and Australia with companies including Hilton, Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton and Taj.
MARTIN KANDRAC has been announced as FRHI Hotels & Resorts’ new executive vice president of real estate & development. Kandrac brings to his new role more than 17 years of hospitality real estate experience in the US, Asia and Europe, including spells with Goldman Sachs and Starwood.
GAURAV TANEJA has become the new general manager of the Eastin Hotel Ahmedabad. A graduate of Delhi University, Taneja moves to the hotel from Carslon’s Park Plaza Chandigarh hotel. With a strong F&B background, he has also worked with brands including Radisson, Renaissance and Novotel.
