Amadeus Gulf has recently launched a new innovative process of rebooking airline tickets with its Amadeus Ticket Changer (ATC) Refund. The solution is a multi-channel ticketing function allowing customers to reissue their tickets accurately. It can also upgrade a passenger, re-route passengers and waive penalties in the event of operational disruptions and minimize revenue leakage.
Arman Sarang, head of products & marketing – Amadeus Gulf, said: “As many as five-10 % of all airline tickets issued are refunded. The present refund process is complex, time-consuming and a source of frustration to many travel agents. Manual handling brings a risk of errors that can increase number of agent debit memos and potential loss of revenue.”
ATC refund can be accessed through Amadeus Selling Platform and Amadeus Web Services. Some of the airlines increasingly using this service are Air Berlin, Finnair, Royal Brunei Airlines, TAM, Linhas Aereas, Adria Airways – The Airline of Slovenia, Air Astana, Silk Air, Ocean air, Asiana Airlines and Singapore Airlines among others.
