Holland American Line has unveiled renderings of its new ship MS Koningsdam.
The new ship is said to mark a ‘new era in design approach’ as the first in HAL’s Pinnacle class.
The design is focused on music and engaging guests with the ship, taking designs used on MS Eurodam and MS Nieuw Amsterdam with an added elegance.
Its dining room will span two floors and have views of the sea with a two-story wine tower in the centre. Its Queen’s Lounge has also been updated as a theatre and entertainment venue over two floors.
“When guests come aboard ms Koningsdam they’ll know they’re on a Holland America Line ship, but they’ll see we’re taking a forward-thinking approach to many of the design elements,” said Stein Kruse, CEO of Holland America Group.
Further features and renderings of the 2, 650-passenger ship will be revealed in the coming months ahead of its launch in February 2016.
